React Native Mobile Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Mobile Engineer to take on the continued development of the Cashrewards App. Our Mobile App is one of the main channels our users interact with our platform, making this a crucial role for us.

We have a lot of very exciting changes you’ll be empowered to bring to life through your engineering skills. While specialising in app development, you’ll also work closely with some server-side API components that directly integrate with the app.

Your Focus

  • Analyse requirements (as desired outcomes)to determine solutions and contribute to estimates.
  • Prioritise tasks and support other team members to achieve team goals
  • Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
  • Implementation of security and data protection
  • Write clean, reusable, maintainable, and readable code.
  • Test and debug existing codebase.
  • Review and refactor code.
  • Deploy fully functional applications.
  • Support junior developers’ work.
  • Document development and operational procedures.
  • Write reusable, testable, and efficient code.


About You

  • Be familiar with the idiosyncrasies of both Android and iOS platforms and devices.
  • Strong proficiency with Reactive Native both TypeScript and/or Javascript.
  • Exposure to Swift and/or Kotlin are desirable
  • Experience working with and knowledge of AWS cloud platform. 
  • Understanding accessibility and security compliance.
  • User authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.
  • Integration of multiple data sources.
  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application.
  • Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
