Australia’s best business operators were honoured at the 2017 Optus My Business Awards on Friday night, with Cashrewards named the ‘Media, Marketing and Advertising Business of the Year’.

The award recognises Cashrewards as the media, marketing or advertising business that has most effectively capitalised on market opportunities and driven demonstrable business growth this year. It honours Cashrewards’ culture of people empowerment, unique innovations and approach to customer service.

Cashrewards was also named as a finalist for the Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year for our work with the Starlight Foundation. We’re honoured to be part of the Pledge 1% movement, dedicating 1% of our equity, time and product to assist Starlight in brightening the lives of seriously ill children and their families.

In his acceptance speech, CEO Andrew Clarke said that receiving the award “is a great step towards becoming a household name and giving real money back to more Australians”.

“We’re proud to improve the lives of Australians by helping them with growing cost of living and putting some extra cash in their pocket to spend on the things that matter most. So far we’ve given back $27 Million dollars to our members and we look forward to watching that number grow”.

It’s been a huge year for Cashrewards, with our membership growing by 10% each month. Thanks to the incredible support of our members, 2% of all online retail spend now originates from Cashrewards.

While we’re extremely happy to receive this award, our number one priority is always improving the Cashrewards experience for our members. We’ve made huge updates to our platform this year and look forward to delivering more exciting developments in 2018.
