Designed for beginners, this app gives you 20-30min workouts that you need to do at least 3 times per week to achieve the 5km goal. The app costs $2.99 for both iPhone and Android.

J&J Official 7 Minute Workout – Developed by the Johnson and Johnson Human Performance Institute, the app focuses on circuit and HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training). Select which workouts you like and the ones you don’t and have your performance tracked daily. This app is free for both iPhone and Android.

Sworkit – If you want to sculpt your core and really work those muscles, this app is perfect. If you don’t want to commit to purchasing it outright, there is a free mini version- Sworkit Abs and Core. When you need to increase the intensity of the training, you can upgrade to a plan to suit your workout needs.

Aptiv – For $14.99 per month or $99 per year, this app is for the serious trainer. You have access to 2,500 classes with new sessions being added weekly. This app is a good gym partner as it takes you through a complete workout.

Yoga Studio – There are 70 ready-made yoga and meditation classes that range from beginner to advanced. You can also choose between a 15 to 60-minute workout, so it’ll fit into your daily schedule. Choose from strength, balance, flexibility relaxation or a combination of all four. Cost starts from $2.99 depending on the type of program you want.
