Cashrewards amongst AFR's top 100 most innovative companies for 2018

Earlier this week, the Australian Financial Review (AFR) announced its list of Australia and New Zealand’s 100 Most Innovative Companies for 2018, and we are absolutely chuffed Cashrewards is part of it, ranking at number 54 amongst other great companies including Xero, MYOB, Visa, CBA and Lendlease.

The AFR’s Most Innovative Companies list is now in its seventh year running and honours companies that it defines as “change that adds value” to the Australian and New Zealand business landscape. Organisations are assessed in three parts, the first being innovation, secondly, how they have embedded innovation into their organisation and lastly, a survey completed by the companies employees that assesses performance on an array of innovation drivers.

Based on these assessed areas we were thrilled that we made the number 54 spot. Cashrewards was established to provide Australian online consumers with cashback on their online purchases, a concept quite new to Australia. The idea is simple, merchants – over 1200 of them, pay Cashrewards a commission to promote their brand and then Cashrewards pass on the majority of that commission back to the member who made the transaction in the form of cashback, simply for shopping through Cashrewards.

We strive to change the cashback landscape by bringing the best possible cashback rates to Aussies and put money back in their pockets, with this in mind we have given back over $40 million and counting over the last 4 years. With a rapidly growing member base of 410,000 people, we’ve become the nations most trusted cashback shopping community.

During our journey of ‘giving back’, we’re proud to be able to say that we’ve acquired a few other accolades along the way, including, Anthill Cool Company 2017: Number Crusher of the Year, Westpac’s Business of Tomorrow Finalist 2017, Telstra New South Wales Business Awards Finalist 2017, Deloitte’s Tech Fast 50 winner 2016, and Startcon eCommerce Company of the year 2016 finalist, just to name a few. Now, being a part of the AFR’s Most Innovative Companies list for 2018 reinforces the positive impact we’re making in the Australian online retail landscape.

To add to this, Cashrewards has gone from strength to strength with funding for future growth supported earlier this year by Silicon Valley-based Partners For Growth. This will provide more flexibility to bring continuous innovation and evolution to ensure that changes in the cashback landscape are adapted to for the benefit of our members. We continue to endeavour to bring our members the best value deals and cashback rates from Australian and global retailers.

The future is looking bright for both Cashrewards and its members, and here’s to many more accolades to come!
