CASHREWARDS predicts record sales for nation’s most recognised online mega-sale
Founder and CEO of Australia’s leading Cashback site CASHREWARDS, Andrew Clarke, says the sales of this year’s Click Frenzy are set to be double compared to last year’s.
Clarke predicts that CASHREWARDS sales are set to reach an estimated $13 million by 7 pm tonight, equalling 2.5% of the total online national retail sales. Whereas last year, it was only $6.4 million, equal to 2% of the total online national retail sales.
Clarke says there are a number of factors at play for why there has been such a leap in growth for Australia’s biggest online shopping event.
“Because the economy is more squeezed due to low wage growth, more and more people are now looking for deals,” he says.
“Plus, retailers are offering incredible deals like never before with 30% off sitewide at ASOS, 20% off sitewide at Nike, 25% off sitewide at General Pants and up to 40% on selected items at Myer, just to name a few.”
According to Clarke, the CASHREWARDS sales made during Click Frenzy this year are equivalent to an average week of regular sales, which is a massive growth for a business that is only five-years-old.
“There has been a seasonal growth in November’s sales events, which means this month has now officially overtaken December as the biggest sales month of the year due to rising popularity in foreign sales days like Singles Day, Click Frenzy, Black Friday and Cyber Monday,” he says.
“I’m really excited to see what’s next for online shopping and I predict Black Friday this year will become the record online sales day of the year of all time”
